This is my first try at a jewelry box using finger joints.
I wanted to put hunter green felt in it but the wife sad no and I knew how she loved cats sooo.
I built a finger joint jig and was playing around testing it out,
Made the main box and was adding a bottom out of some thick maple and saw that it would look nice half way in so routed the edges and glued it up.
Then got playing around with some wood hings.
It was then top heavy so that’s when the legs came into play.
This started as just a test build that got out of control.
Here’s the jig I made to build it, man I love playing with this thing.
It’s made to work with the table saw but I added drawer slides and use it with a router.

That’s a nice looking box and the hinges are great.

Nice box. The wooden hinges are a great addition.
