The cyclone set-up for my Festool CT26E (http://lumberjocks.com/projects/141089) functions perfectly. I copied the set-up for my recent Shop Vac (http://lumberjocks.com/projects/151138). The steps were straightforward:
1) Remove the top handle
2) Screw a scrap board on the top
3) Mount the cyclone unit (bungee cord works great).
All together, the upgrades (auto switch, cyclone unit and HEPA filter) cost about $140. Add the cost of the vac ($100) and you can have a shop-made CT26 at 1/3 of the cost of a new Festool dust extractor (full price is $850+).
