I built this bookcase cabinet out of birch plywood and select pine. The upper doors are glass with grids I made with my router. The drawers are dovetailed with full extension slides. The bottom doors are raised panel. The shelves in both the upper and lower part are adjustable.

Awesome piece! Where did you find the plans for this or did you draw them up yourself? I would like to make such a thing out of mahogany.

When I built this cabinet I didn’t have any actual plans. I sketched what I wanted, what would fit, sort of how I wanted it to look. Believe it or not the toughest part for me was deciding whether I wanted 3 or 4 doors and drawers. I had made the opening in the wall, I built a level base out of pressure treated 2×4 lumber (this is in a finished basement). The basic part of the cabinet was built in my workshop then I installed it in the opening. After it was secured in place I added the face frame, doors & drawers.
