This is a jewelry box I made for an orchid-loving friend of mine. The second reason it’s pentagonal is because I built it just large enough to house her collection of state quarters in five stacks of 10-11 (including the ones for D.C., Puerto Rico, etc.). I’ve also posted this project on behance here along with some of my other portfolio work. Enjoy!

Very pretty.

-- While teaching a class, a gentlemen once asked me: "When chip carving an intricate design, what do you do when you are almost finished and the wood breaks off?" I replied "Cover the kids ears."

Love the shape and to design of the top

-- Norman - I never never make a mistake, I just change the design.
