Built this kitchen for a friend, big project but learned a few things along the way. Hard maple face frames and doors stained with water based stain in a black base color. This was a learning stag for me, several tries on how much to apply and how long to leave it on before whipping off to let the wood show at the right amount. I am not a fan of water based stain but like the outcome. Then sanding sealer with two coats of catelized laquer
Purchased Somerfeild shaker door bits for the doors and they are great. easy set up and they stay sharp.
Upper cabinets are extra tall with small glass panels that are back lit with LED lights. Cabinet boxes are all 3/4 maple ply, hung on a french cleat. Base cabinets have no shelfs, only double roll outs or lazy susans. All drawers have 100 lbs soft close glides and all doors have Blum self close hinges. thanks for looking

“Little kitchen project” – funny! I wonder what a big kitchen project looks like?

Seriously – you’ve done a fantastic job!

Great project I am sure your friend will be happy with it. If this is a “Little” project how about posting pictures of a “BIG” project.
