I had some old Cherry, and this free plan from Woodworkers Journal #374, here is the link if anyone is interested. Folding Deck Table

I have wanted to try this for awhile now. This is a great little project. When I first looked at this plan, I thought it might be kinda of wobbly, but it really is quite stable. I may have to make another one.
I modified the handle a little, they called for 1/2” dowel, I used a 3/4” square piece of Cherry and turned the ends down to 1/2” for the proper length. Made it more beefy.

Finished with Spar Varnish.

Thanks for looking!

Nice job.
This design is very flexible. I have used it for stool size up to card tables.
For a cleaner appearance you might consider screwing the top pieces and leg stretchers from the under side and countersinking the screws….then if you want you could even plug the holes, however I have found with use the screws sometimes loosen and you need to tighten them up later.
In Eugene OR there was a old fellow who made these (much rougher finish than yours using plywood tops) and sold them at the farmer’s market to Univ. of Oregon students for their dorm rooms. He sold all he could make at the beginning of every fall semester.
