Hi guys, been hanging around here for a few months and finally figured out how to post photos. If these don’t come out the way they should I’ll try again. Anyway this is a Krenov inspired wall cabinet in walnut and ash. Finish is danish oil (natural). The back got more yellow than I wanted so I did not put any finish on the drawers. I used barrel hinges because I did not have any knife hinges in the shop.I’ll be posting more of my work in the future. Comments (good or bad) are welcome.

Looks just like my Wabi Sabi. How did you do the back panel? The Walnut looks a lot nicer than the Poplar mine is made from. I have some Doussie that will someday be another small Krenov cabinet.
Hoe did you cooper the door, did you find a coopering plane?

Don’t have a name for this cabinet, but came up with the design after reading Krenov’s books. Love his philosophy. I used a style of back that was in a Fine Woodworking article a while back on building a Krenov cabinet. Basically you do a deep rabbet install the panel and then glue the stops to the sides. Not sure what issue it was in but when I find it I’ll let you know. As for the door, it’s not coopered’ it’s flat. It has the illusion of being coopered because I radius’d the top and bottom. I plan on doing a coopered door but like you I need to find a coopering plane. I have some black limba that I plan on making another cabinet out of but I’ve got a couple of live edge benches to make first.
