Made this small jewellery box over past few days. Timber is Figured Red Ash. Finished with three coats of satin lacquer. The box joints were cut on the scroll saw and they turned out amazing. Better than what I could of done on a router table or table saw!!! I am not sure exactly what country this timber comes from but it seems to have a strong contrast between the heartwood and sapwood, if anybody has a clue may you please inform me. (it was purchased at the Sydney working with wood show)

Very elegant box. Those finger joints are TIGHT. Nice work, and beautiful wood choice.
