Tartan, your jewelry box is well done. I like the use of butternut. What is the contrasting wood? It helps readers if you include the dimensions of your postings and the volume of Fine Woodworking where you found your plan. Your craftsmanship looks great.

Grandchildren projects are the greatest fun you can have making stuff in the shop. Taking a picture of the moment they first see your project can be fun tool

Keep boxing and keep posting.

Thanks for your comment Boxguy. The plan is from this months, April ‘15, cover article “Secrets to flawless mitered boxes”. My box measures 10”x6”x3 1/2”. Sides are butternut, top is cherry (in hopes it will darken with age), and the lift tab is ebony. Interior trays are MDF with black lacquer finish.
