This hall table was actually inspired by the granite remnants of a kitchen remodel I had done a few years ago. When the counter top was installed the contractor cut the piecies out for the sink and stove top and they were hauling the piecies out to their truck and I said, “Hey, wait, I believe that granite belongs to me!!” I took the pieces to a local granite dealer and had them cut to size so I could install them into the 50” x 17” x 31” table. I used the two step General finish on this one and it turned out pretty well. Thanks for visiting.

Wow, I love this one. I have a weakness for cherry and the granite puts this over the top.

This is a great piece. Had a similar experience with “scrap” and my builder. I suppose most folks don’t have the where with all to use off cuts etc. Thanks for posting.

Really nice job!

Now you’ve got me thinking about the granite sink cutout I’ve been hanging on to for the last couple of years.

Geeze someone stole my idea…..........LOL That is a great looking table. I am making a cherry coffee table to compliment my end tables I made a couple years ago. I am going to use some corian for the top pieces like you did the granite.
