This past Christmas after I gifted a small jewelry box to my Grandma, she just happen to tell me that she was in need of a bigger recipe box. Something simple but large enough to hold all of her classic recipes (which she has many). So I said I’d keep it in mind and see what I can make up. This is what I ended up making. I randomly mailed it to her as a surprise. Simple lines yet eye catching color contrast. Maple and Cherry, with 4 coats of oil & urethane. I think she really liked it! Thanks for looking!

Great looking recipe box and sure your grandma thinks so too. May I ask what is the size of the box?

And you left something real important off your post…some of your grandma’s recipes :-)

Nice design, and love the corner accented joints.

Grandma will be very happy with that beautiful recipe box. very nicely constructed and designed. The Splines on the corners are a great finishing touch. Well Done!!!! I am sure Grandma will cook your favourite recipe next time you visit.

Bruc101, its roughly 12” wide, 5” deep, and 6” tall. If I only had grandma’s recipes I’d be a better cook! There always seems to be a secret ingredient that I don’t know.

That’s a real nice gift for a Gtrandma. Most of the ones that I know love to cook. Nice work.
