This is a Whimsical Cottonwood Bark House Carving. Many call it a Keebler Elf house. The carving is finished I just have to decide how I want to mount it. Either on a nice base out of butternut or black walnut or I may decide to suspend it from a hoop. The house itself is about 3 1/2 inches tall and the whole piece is about 6 inches high and 4 1/2 inches wide. I am not sure if you can see light through the windows but both houses are hollowed out from the back to allow light through.

I have a few more bark pieces that I am planning on carving in the next few months. One will be a lighthouse sitting on a rock bluff that is about 7 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide. The other two pieces I haven’t decided what they want to be yet.

I hope you like it.

Thanks for looking.

This, as well as all your other carvings, are outstanding. I’m starting to experience envy and jealousy, so I’m gonna get off of here and go back to work.
