Project Information

My darling wife asked for a new kitchen, so I built her one. All the drawers are dovetailed and the fronts have a continuous flow of the wood grain from the boards. Cherry with some walnut highlights and soapstone counters. She let me custom make the farmers sing and I let her select any fixtures that she wanted. That sounds fair. Eh? I also got to take a wall out and lay the quarter sawn white oak floors and added some Jatoba inlays at the stairs. A kitchen for 3 to work in together as we do love to cook. One end is for my daughter to bake in as that is what she likes to do. Make her dad cookies. Lucky me. I;-D

Really nice looking kitchen! I could stand to see more pictures. The low rolling pin counter is a great idea; easier on the old back.

Best,
Tom

Very nice kitchen. I know it involves a lot more work than meets the eye. Wish you had a before picture to show us the changes.

We've been strongly considering doing a cherry mission kitchen reno.

Inspiring! Love the look. I'm sure it is an awesome feeling moving around in your new kitchen that you built.

ooohhhhh!!!! That hutch is amazing!!! So is the sink, and the exhaust fan, and, well, the whole thing.

I'm trying to work up the nerve to start the kitchen reno. I'm curious what you put inside the various cabinets. Were there any of the fancy pullouts, pot racks, or other hidden surprises or are they traditional drawers and cabinets? How long did it take to make all the cabinets? How long was the install?

I love your new kitchen. And I especially like the hutch. You did a marvelous job on everything. As much as I'd like to show my wife this kitchen, I don't think I should. I wouldn't get any of MY projects done. LOL. But, all joking aside, you did a great job. If your'e not in the business of remodeling or designing kitchens, you should be.
