I have spent the last few weeks designing this clock. I built it from scratch (electronics and circuitry as well). This clock features 12/24 time display, date, temperature in C and F as well as 3 alarms and display brightness control (for those who cannot tolerate lights at night. It can also be put into power saver mode which shut off the display after 10 seconds. Let me know what you guys think

Nice! Simple and effective. Where did you find the internals? Is the display area just a thin face?

I ordered all my resistors, led displays, diodes, ic, etc from China then spent two days soldering. The face is veneer attached directly onto the led displays.

That is just so cool.
Will have to keep that trick in mind with the veneer.
Love the Idea.
I have a clock with a blindingly bright clock face, would work great with this tip.

The lead photo doesn’t show the clock face, so all i saw was a block of wood. then i clicked on it and this is actually pretty cool! thanks for posting.

It’s a nice design and well done. I enjoy the hobby of electronics as also.

Would you mind elaborating on which led display you used for this?

Have your say...
