As i said in one of my posts, i use this wood as firewood.I get out from a river bed, especially during spring break when the raised waters of the river banks the bed leaving behind the trees, half uncovered and half covered in the ground.Nobody knows how long they stayed in the ground but i suspect they have more than 150 years.Besides i have free firewood more than 10 years(that imply many forest tree saved),i can take advantage of this ebonyzed wood and use it in my future wood projects. Most wood it’s cracking so i can’t use it but…i have a heap of this without any cracks.I find many types of wood:oak, ash tree, elm, cherry(the most unpreserved from those i mentioned) even burned fir wood(i suspect from a lightning past storm) .What you can see in the pictures is oak wood.Thank you for stopping by.
