A friend of mine is into needle point. It is everywhere in his home: big canvases to small cushions. Anyway, he was making a small beadwork piece for his grand daughter when he got the bright idea to ask me to make a jewelry box and incorporate his beadwork into the lid. Why not! From the past postings on this site you all can tell I’ve made a few jewelry boxes in the past – many, many. I enjoy the challenge. Each one is unique. This box uses walnut from an historic home in Historic Orange Virginia. The beadwork is from equally historic Williamsburg.

Well done, I like it.

Fantastic. The box is awesome anyway, and that top makes it very special to the receiver.
