My neighbor is a big deer hunter and he was tired of purchasing particle board antler mounts. So, I used the one he had as my template and made him six out of solid walnut. The finish is two coats of semi-gloss lacquer. This was a super easy project and all it took was some sanding and routing. It’s nice to be able to finish a project in a day every now and then!

This is nice looking and definitely better than particle board.

Very nice. I couldn’t agree with you more about finishing a project in a day. Time is limited. A quick day or even weekend project sure is fun and satisfying every-so-often.

good looking mounts. I too love the quick, yet beautiful projects. Do you mount the antlers also?
