This was my first major project in my new workshop. I got the wood (pine) already laminated which saved me mega hours. The awesome thing about this is that the lid is a full one inch thick which makes it pretty heavy. The hinges you see there work just great. No crushed fingers by the grand kids. These were a must! The legs and side handles are all hand made from the same wood. I added a smaller section to put books in. My wife uses it for her catalogues. Needless to say, I have outstanding orders to make three more. The box is 14”h x 16”w x 17”(book section) and 36” toy section.

That should hold up over the years. Looks good, and functional too. Nice project.

I love it.
This is the kind of stuff that will last forever and will be fought over for generations.
Really nice.
