This was my first set of game boards. I used some reclaimed wood for the foundation (the ramp), glued together to make the 24”x48” foundation and normal 2×4 stock for the rest of the frame. I made the bags myself and thank god I paid attention in home economics class in high school. (And I said I was only in the class for the girls. LOL!) I have made a few more sets since then and have had fun experimenting with the finish. That is the hardest part I think, since I usually get friends wanting their favorite college team and it is hard as heck matching the team colors. I am trying to find some reclaimed heart pine and use the boards for the top foundation. I have seen a few pics of some made this way and they look great. I really like the old rustic look of wood projects. So far I have made this set for my sister and a few Ga Bulldog sets for friends. Just thought I would share. Enjoy!
