hidden lock on Bandsaw Box

This is a band saw box I made for my step daughter. You have to use the rare earth magneton the top knob to retract a metal pin then use the magnet to pull open the drawer. The nob is then held in place by magnets on the top of the box. This is one of my first boxes not one of my better but the only one that fits this requirment. She challenges clients to figure out how to open it only one has figured it out.

I know this happened a LONG time ago…

But, if possible could you get detailed on the the Pin mounting and how the pin stays in place in Locked position?

Does it UNlock by removing the top magnet?
