Customer request for a reclaimed look on a basic blanket/sweater chest. Purchased the siding from a great vendor in Irvington, NJ (Real Antique Wood). Not too complex here – just wanted to use the pocket hole screws because the edges of the wood were so irregular and I was worried about just using biscuits. Floor boards are aromatic cedar to help repel the insects. Needed extra hinge hardware to keep the lid open and prevent from slamming shut. Finished with water-based flat finish from General Finishes (great stuff).

I think it looks great. I like the simple design, and the look of the wood is great. I would be proud of this.

It is very well done.
