This small table is made for tailgating, camping, or a deck. The measurements are all based on 24 inches. 24 inch top, 24 inch high legs and 24 inch wide legs. I used 1×3 for the legs with biscuits but other joinery would work. Round over the edges after assembly. Under the round top is the frame stretcher. each leg set has a cross piece set down 3/4 inch with a center notch to link together so no screws or bolts to loose. I glued a top larger than 24 inch, then cut to size and on my pattern drew cross lines through the center at 90 degrees to get the leg positions. Plan the leg notches a little sloppy so the top can be reversible. also any notch fits any table slot.’
The lower stretchers are spaced different to allow one to slip in the other, one 4 inches down, the other 6 inch from the ground. Other ideas for the top would work. octogon or square. At 24 inch wide it holds more than 2 drinks and 2 paper plates and is just an easy reach down height or in a sling chair even with the arms. Separately to store away this is 2 and 1/4 inches wide wrap the top in a towel to protect the finish or paint. I stained one side and painted the other.
All in all about $13 in pine to make. You figure whatever for your finish.

I really like this knock down table. Innovative design and it looks great too.

Nice idea and well executed.

I can see many a team logo emblazoned on the table top.
Yeah, Mr. Met would look great on that table!!!

Hey OG2,

Since you took the time to look at my old projects, I had to take a look at yours too.

I like this little table. I can imagine it in eastern red cedar. Knowing my family, I imagine it would get left out in the weather, so I’d want to do something about the end-grain of the legs siitting on wet soil.
