My daughter really, really wanted a desk for her doll so I figured I’d give it a shot. This is my first attempt at mini-furniture. I looked online for some ideas and measured up her doll. It turned out about as good as I could have hoped. It was all made from scraps laying around the shop. My little girl is still trying to decide what color she wants to paint it and would not let me put a finish on it.

Nice, I just finished stripping about 5 layers of paint off an old child’s desk with some beautiful Maple under it.
Very light stain and couple of coats of Varathane, looks new and old at the same time.

Looks great. My daughter went through the AG phase a few years ago. She’s lucky to have some grandmas that spoil her. Not a cheap product line considering its an 18” doll. Well done. I found some ideas I used for the piano and others I posted a few.year back on Pinterest . Good stuff to copy.

Thank you for this post, you can be sure there is at least one copy made from it. When I think the materials, time and sweat will still be less than an AG doll it makes me sick but I’m going to have to give this a shot. I just hope it turns out as good as yours did.
