Butternut & Walnut with brass doweling. This is my first “box” meant specifically for jewelry. The base is held with rare-earth magnets to create a small, hidden stash spot. A lot of extra trouble to make it, but I’m a sucker for small details like that.
The case is from one butternut board and has continuous grain around the perimeter. Joinery is pinned rabbets. The drawer fonts are book-matched from a single walnut board, but the grain is dark and subtle to the point you could easily miss it.

Nice work. I especially like the hidden compartment.
