I woud like to prsent to you my submission to last year’s contest. I know it’s a year late but that’s how I am sometimes, thing get in the way. I had the intention of submitting it on time. When I first became aware of the contest, I was watching a 1930’s classic movie “Anthony Adverse”with Fredric March in the title role. There was this beautiful box which played a small but significant part in the plot. Having been a set designer myself, I am always looking at the behind-the-scenes details of a play or a movie. Well, this box struck me so I decided to use it as my model. I had some 2×4 cedar leftover from a project. I used Google Sketch to draw up my plans and made a jig to cut my material. The hardware I bought. Total cost undr $20.

Considering that it’s only about 4” wide (i.d.) and 10” high it would be a small statuary or a photo. I gave it as a gift and don’t know what they have done with it.
