The drawers are actually made from one of my earlier attempts at a walnut, dovetailed box . I just ripped the box in two and routed a rabbet in the bottom of each for a 1/4” birch ply bottom (i dont even know the dimesions, I simply aligned the box halves to the maple box and scribed the openings). I glued the purpleheart drawer fronts on with TBIII. The drawer guides are just maple 1×4 on edge with a dado, which I sanded to 2000 grit for smooth sliding… The dado is oversized about 1/8”-3/16” to allow some movement. I thought about flocking the inside of the drawers or making some velvet inserts or something. Still up in the air about that.. If you have any specific questions I would be happy to help.

Incredible precision. Nice straight lines. Very smart choice of woods, colours are great.
