Chop and scoop/corrective measure

I noticed these chop and scoop deals in the produce isle of my local Lions Food and decided to make a few of these out of wood with my own tweaks. Simply laminated some 1.25” thick stock then created two small templates to run the router on top of while I took away about 3/8” to form the “scoop” portion. I gave this one as a gift to my mom for Christmas. If I ever get famous for making these I’ll shoot my promo that you can use this not only to catch your chopped veggies but to straighten those bad behaved kids out. Finished with mineral oil, wood species are as follows(from middle): Western Cedar, elm, maple, black walnut, white oak

hmmm, never seen or heard of these before – for sure I like the story and ideas for use for these though…

-- New Project = New Tool... it's just the way it is, don't fight it... :)
