I built this piece to house the cable box/dvd/stereo and the kids game systems and movies. I used all Maple with a rubbed poly finish and then a glaze mixed with dark stain was applied to give it a somewhat aged appearance. A few pieces of Maple had a some really nice striping on them.

I’m debating making a matching piece to cover the tv.

Your cabinet came out really terrific. I’d say, “Go for the matching TV cover!” . . . more great looking furniture!

Very nicely crafted, looks great. I especially like the dark glazing to add age, job well done.
