So my wife was about to spend $3000 on a rustic style patio set at a place called pottery barn… I put my foot down and said no, I’ll build it…. :)
This is the first piece. It is built from reclaimed oak from some massive pallets I have access to. The beauty of this is I was able to justify the purchase of my beautiful new band saw. It is going to make the matching chairs much faster to build.

Very nice looking table. Can’t wait to see the chairs to make to go with it. Always nice to be able to justify the new tool.

Thanks Tex,
This is my first attempt at a rustic finish. It takes a different level of thought and process to not sand and smooth to a pristine finish like my usual projects.

That’s a beauty! Been thinking of trying a project out of something “reclaimed”. Projects like yours are a real encouragement!

Very nice work! I like how you think my friend. Honey I’m going to save us $1500 but I just need to spend $1500 on this new tool first ;-)

Have your say...
