Hello All,
My nephew Shane has taken an interest in woodworking, so at Xmastime I offered to have him over for MLK weekend to work on a project together. The build went well and I have a link for the videos we shot.
Shane is a very rambunctious boy, so I was wondering how he would do around the power tools. Turns out Shane was very focussed, his attention never wavered. I never build anything with a time limit. We had to at least glue it together before it was time for him to go home. Added an element of stress on day 2, escpecially when i goofed something that needed to be fixed. Here’s the finished project:

I watched the three parts on your YouTube channel and it was a great build. Shane was very good in his methods of work, seemed to be an experienced woodworker, and looked like he enjoyed this project, but your purposely designed “how to recover from mistakes” maneuver was great thinking on your part. Nice work.

Watched all three video’s. Wonderful. Shane will remember that week end forever and is now hooked on wood work. Excellent job and mentoring.
