A bunch of these have been posted but I wanted to share the one I just finished in December. Its made of quartersawn sycamore and walnut, Brusso stop hinges and suede lining for the drawers.

Very nice! What was it like working with Sycamore? I hear it moves around a lot, is that why you used quartersawn?

Thanks guys!

CM02WS6- The Sycamore was pretty nice to work with, didn’t really move at all. I would definitely use it again. Flatsawn sycamore can move around a lot, however quartersawn sycamore is pretty dimensionally stable. I don’t know of any lumber yards by me that carry the flatsawn version, everything that I have come across is quartersawn sycamore for that reason.
