I finally finished my 1st cribbage board after procrastinating for a few years and ruining my first attempt.
This one is for my brother-in-law & is painted in the colors of his favorite collegiate team -the Florida Gators.
It is made from ambrosia maple & measures 15” long, 5 1/2” wide and 2 1/2” tall. I chose to make it in the style of a box so there was storage for the pegs & 2 decks of card underneath. The corner splines are walnut. The bottom is finished with felt I picked up at Hobby Lobby (.25 a sheet). The pegs were ordered from e-bay and are an excellent addition to the board.
I designed the top on V carve & used my CNC for the tracks, lettering & pegs. I alternated the blue\orange in the tracks with hobby paint & sanded flush to the maple. It is finished with 3 coats of General Finished arm-r-seal rubbed with 320 in between coats.
Thanks for looking.

Very cool – nice way to do the line work. Well done.

Nice work. Did you use your CNC to drill the holes?

yes, I used a 1/8” ball nose bit in my CNC to drill the holes.
Have your say...
