This a my first attempt at a cutting board. Unlike many other LJs, nothing fancy here. This was made of Maple and Walnut; scraps left over from an art easel project for my daughter for Christmas. This will also go to my daughter, who is furnishing an apartment.

I used a 3/16” round-over on the edges. It was finished with Salad Bowl Finish from General Finishes.

Thanks for reading.

Nice work mate, I’m sure your daughter will get a lot of use out of it – a real gift!

I love some of the crazy designs for sheer skill, but as far as purpose and aesthetics in my home I like the simple stuff better. I love it man. I’m routerless right now, so I’ll be experimenting with other designs for a craft show coming up. Hopefully I can still make it work.

-- Phillip- Measure twice, cut onc.... Hey look, it's rustic.
