I have been meaning to put these up here – they were made last February.

My niece had received a new doll house for Christmas, and my wife renovated her doll house her Uncle made for her – to then give to our daughter. Neither had a good place to put them so they can be opened and played with – without laying on the floor. So, I decided to make a low table for the doll houses to sit on.

Requirements: – 2 different size doll houses – so 2 different size tables. – shelf for storing accessories – top to look like a lawn (around the house) – durable finish (girls like to color – anything) – easy to meet current and future decors

Each doll house’s footprint was measured along with the space it would reside to determine the final sizes.

Both are same designs and lengths, just different widths.

I opted for a painted finish (latex) for easy cleaning and repair/touch-ups as needed. And choose white to not clash with their room’s decor.

both are made from birch plywood for side and shelf/top and poplar for cross section/length supports for top and bottom. Edging was also made from poplar.

I was confused when I saw the title, and thought, MAN those must be some SMALL tables! Very nice job.

I really like these. My 4 year old will be getting a doll house for Christmas. I think perhaps one of these may be in her future!
