I made these simple box shelves a while back for my girlfriend. They are made of pine and finished with fast drying polyurethane. They are intended to hang on the bathroom wall, so I applied the polyurethane full strength to combat the high humidity environment. In hindsight this may have been a bit overkill but what is done is done. The corners are rabbeted and they hang on recessed key hole brackets. I wanted them to appear as if the only thing holding them to the wall is magic.

Very nice. The yellow frames and colored candles really contrast them nicely. Looks like they are being held up on the wall by magic.
Well done.
