This is my vacation project, a new porch for my workshop. The intention is building a space to execute some outside work that produce too much sawdust or during raining days and also a place to receive friends to take a drink and relax.

Started at 12/26/2014 and finished in 01/05/2015, 9 days of work. I just stopped in 12/31 and 01/01 due the year-end party.

Some wood joints and details:

The complete Sketchup projetct (all measurements are in metric units).

That looks too nice to be a shop.

What a great space!
Enjoy!

Pretzer, no, I didn’t live in Kansas. Actually I’m living outside US, in a small city called Blumenau located in south of Brazil.

Very nice Valete! I was going to ask where this was too as it looks very tropical. What are the beams made out of? The grain looks like mahogany to me – if so, wow! I like the intention statement at the begining.

Great work! I really like the joinery.

So falta a churrasqueira ;) (just missing the BBQ)

I recognized it was Brasil right away, I used to live in Florianopolis.

Hi Randy, this wood is called Cambará in Brazil. In US is well known as Mahogany too.
