They do not distract from the looks, I think it looks great. Nice job overall. Very nice touches through out.

A well done first….......especially the efforts put into the dovetails and the wooden hinges. I am working on a similar ‘first’ but doubt it will near as nice as yours.

They say the mark of a true craftsman is how well he/she hides/fixes their “boo boos.” Your boo-boos look pretty well fixed on this beautiful piece. I have an Incra jig that I want to play with but haven’t got past plain dovetails. This inspires me to go out in the shop and try something challenging. Thanks for posting.
