Spalted Flame Box Elder Plate

I chose some spalted flame box elder to turn my first plate. This was a last minute gift I made on 12/24. I should have spent some more time on removing the tool marks on the top if the plate but the plate was starting to make a lot of noise because of the thickness. Thanks for looking and any comments.

Nice turn, I love the red look it has in the grain…just beautiful!

Hate those noisy plates…....just moments away from exploding.
