This Christmas wasn’t quite as busy as past years, only shipped about 100 boards where last year I was closer to 200 for the month of December. The first photo is completed boards which are ready for final sanding and oiling before they are packaged and shipped. While that batch was being completed the last glue-up was in process, an additional 38 boards.

Looks good. I have been nervous about doing a cutting board. I know they can be simple, but I can hide a fault in a table and make it rustic, but the cutting boards are my achilles heel for right now. I think it’s one of those things that I’d rather just look at other peoples build because once I start I’ll want to just keep doing them all the time.

I would be envious of you glue-up rack … but then I realized I had to be envious of your shop space. I wouldn’t have a wall to spare if I had the rack.

I would be envious of your December sales, but then realized I had to be envious of your lumber budget and time budget to build that many boards in one month.

I think I’ll work on dropping my envy, and just be very happy for your success!
