I had a length of 3/4” Maple and decided to make a spurtle since we eat oatmeal quite regularly. A spurtle is a Scottish utensil for stirring poridge, oatmeal, etc.

We recently had family over and had great fun with them trying to guess what it was. We heard everything from a drumstick to a small baseball bat!

I thought that it would be a great idea if they all got their own for Christmas. ;)

I’m glad we were not Scottish or I would have had my back side warmed with a spurtle :-)) (a spanking)
