Well even though I still have to deliver a few more Christmas gifts to friends and family over the next few days most of them are done. Here are a few of things that I made.
The first is based of the Carmichael Workshop Holiday Video I made this one a little bigger and wanted to maximize the Maple I bought for it so I used a plaque that I picked up a few years ago at a rummage sale. I bought a bunch of them for like $5 total. I will be on the look out for more as I am almost through them. I also wanted to make sure this could be packed away, so each item has a wood pin in the bottom and they just attach to the base.
The next two are of course bottle openers, one for my niece who is a big fan of Harry Potter and one for my brother in law. I saw the image online and decided that I needed to recreate it as he is an avid hunter and this year just went on his first bear hunt.
The wine stopper/corkscrew was for another niece. just made with walnut handles. As I mentioned in my last post these are a fun quick project. I will plan to purchase a few more from Woodturnerscatalog.com
The last is a plaque for my father in law to decorate the outhouse at the cabin. The comic was in his newspaper well over a year ago and we happen to be visiting so I snagged it and put it aside. I was able to scan it, enlarge it and do the ink transfer thing. It came out pretty good and I may have to do a few more comic strip type things in the future.
Hope everyone had a good holiday and is getting some rest and shop time this weekend. Thanks for looking.

Very well done. Consider doing a quick blog on the ink transfer process.

Thanks guys.
Monte I think I will do it as part of the upcoming blog as I will be discussing some of my games and I use the same process.

Really nice warm gifts you made Chris. The lamp is really cool. Any gifts coming out this way?
