I made three picture frames for images I bought while on vacation to give to my kids for Christmas. The Quoridor game is from the Mere Mortals web site. The frames are Red Elm and Walnut. Game is Red Elm and Mahogany. I’ll probably replace the game top when a better piece of something comes along. Being under a little time crunch I found that spray shellac is my new best friend. Thanks for looking.

Looks amazing! Good thing you kept that lumber and gave it a cleaning to unfold a hidden gem.

Great work Dan. Those frames look like you really “nailed” the 45’s.

When you were telling me about the angle insets on the frame, I wasn’t getting a “picture” of it in my mind.
(CL810 isn’t the only one who can get off a pun!)
But now it’s perfectly clear what you had in mind and it works really well. I may just have to borrow this idea!

So that chunk of mystery wood you gave me is Red Elm? Looks great with the Walnut contrast.

Hope your holiday went super! We have 3 new babies in the immediate family and I was expecting a nightmare of screaming and fussing. A true miracle – all 3 seemed to enjoy being the center of attention and not a single cry was heard. Ho Ho Ho!
