Just finished this jewelry box for a friend’s Christmas present to his daughter. The box is made out of cherry and ash. It is about 15 tall and 12 wide. The finish is a few coats of Watco oil and some wax. There are brass hinges and knobs.

I was a little disappointed in how the ash looked after two coats of Watco. The ash that is a bit blotchy, probably due to using some pieces that contained a bit of the sap wood. I am in the process of making a few more of these boxes for some customers. I have some special wood for these.

Wow. I found the same one online… Was planning on posting the two I’m making for my daughters later tonight, but now I’m not sure. I made a few errors on my drawers and yours looks more even. I’ll notice my mistakes even more now! haha

Looks good Gregg

Love the feet you put on this piece. Very well done!
