They are kind of crafty, but I think grand kids will like them – 5 snowmen Olaf look-alikes. While some of you may have had a coon skin cap as a kid (this dates me), the Disney movie Frozen is quite popular with kids these days. Turned the bodies from 2by4 scraps. Didn’t like the proportions of the first 2 so I stretched out the last three turnings. Turned all 10 of the feet from a 3/8” dowel at one time and sliced into pieces on the scroll saw. Used my belt sander to shape the noses from wood skewers. Added eyelets to hang from a tree although they are a bit heavy. Sealed with sanding sealer, then painted with cheap rattle can white enamel. Used copper wire scraps to make arms, soldering on the hands. Finished with black pipe cleaners for hair, craft store eyes, and craft store puff balls for coal buttons.
