Well it has been awhile. I have been spending all my time renovating my house, instead of woodworking. How fitting my first wood project back is another cribbage board. My buddy bought this piece of reclaimed seating that was from Lambeau field. He asked me to make a cribbage board out of it. I struggled with design ideas, but eventually just realized that keeping it simple was the best result. I did not want to jeopardize the integrity of the wood or history so I used old pallet wood to give it a framed out reclaimed look. Unfortunately the wood was so dry-rotted that I had several problems drilling the holes, as well as routing the back side for the name plate. Overall I think it turned out well and has a very warm reclaimed look, which is exactly what my buddy wanted.

What a great combination of history & woodworking. Very clever using pallet wood for the border.
Thanks for sharing.
