This is a knife block that was built as a wedding gift for my brother-in-law and his wife. The woods are african mahogany and birdseye maple. The knife slots in the main block were all cut on the router table before glue up and the steak knife slots in the front were cut on the table saw after glue up of that front section. The project was finished with Minwax Tung Oil Finish which really popped the maple.
