I try to build one special Christmas gift for great nephews/nieces each year. Having built a couple of normal rocking horses I tried something new for my farming nephew’s son. Built with combination of walnut, plywood, and cherry. All wood except for screws.

Beautifully built rocking tractor!
By now you should start thinking of the next year’s gift project.
Thanks for sharing.

Robert, Welcome to LumberJocks. That is a very cool idea. Sure he will have a lot of fun riding on that.

This would really go over big her. I live in a farming community in the largest agricultural area in Norway. The kids here (including many girls) are crazy about tractors. I would certainly build something like it if my grandkids were young enough. Nice job.

Sorry, did not use plans, built the rockers and the platform then built the tractor to fit. Experimented with placement to get balance right.
