I made these two ornaments as gifts for two girls who play the harp at our church. The two young girls play Italian-made concert pedal harps that are over 5 feet tall. See the last photo.

The harps are handcrafted works of art. These harps and cost between $11K to $17K. They are made of maple and the sound board is made with Fiemme Valley red spruce

The ornaments I designed are 5 inches tall based on the Salvi Daphne series harp. The cross shape is from our church logo. I used the intarsia technique to make the ornaments.

I used the following woods:

1. Harp: maple, cross bottom: yellowheart, cross top: bloodwood.

2. Harp: cherry, cross bottom: yellowheart, cross top: bubinga.

Clean, beautiful, and meaningful. Nicely done. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
