Hi LJ’s!

I’m glad to share with you my latest project, a wooden puzzle that I’ve made for a 2 year old child; son of a friends of mine. It’s made with Sycamore and Iroko wood and I made also a frame to assemble it in. To make a project like this I strongly recommend you to have a scroll saw in order to achieve a good fit between all the pieces. As you will see in the wall through video of this project, I add a second layer of sycamore in the pieces to make them more resistant to stress during the play. Due it’s a toy for a children, I had to design something durable, hard and free of any danger. All the edges were rounded and I finished the puzzle with a mineral oli to make it safe in case the child bites it. The pieces were also planned to be big enough to avoid to avoid any possibility of choking. The whole puzzle it’s about 25×25cm.
I hope you like this project, and don’t forget to watch the making proces in the next video:

Be free to make any questions or comments. I’ll try to response or solve them. Thanks again.

Regards from Barcelona.
