Here is Mom’s kalimba clock. She voiced jealousy at my previous projects so I thought I would make her a special something for Christmas. Made of Teak, Rosewood and Ebony, I first made the box, then drilled and mounted hardware. It is an 8 note scale: Do – Do. Oiled finish. Looks and sounds great.

Never heard of a Kalimba clock, but yours looks great! I’m sure your mom will love it!

Does the clock strike the notes or is that done by the player?

The kalimba is playable by the player. The clock is just a set in.
